- Level 3 Grades 3-4
- Level 4 Grades 5-6
- Level 5 Youth and Adult
With a course title like Let’s Build an Ark, it is obvious that during the five sessions the children will be taught the account of the great flood and Noah and the ark. However, there is much more to this curriculum. The writers included not one but two Bible stories each day. How will that work? The story of Noah was divided into five sessions. Each session was assigned a theme for the day. (For instance, on day one we will learn about the world’s wickedness at the time of Noah and God’s promise to send a flood. The theme for day one is God Is Just.) So each consecutive day the students will progress further through the story of the flood. However, along with each day’s story of the flood there will be a parallel story from the Bible that reinforces the day’s theme. (For instance, on day one the parallel story is about God’s judgment on Achan at
Jericho
.)
|
The account of Noah and the parallel story are presented differently. The parallel stories will be taught in the classroom by the teacher. Noah’s story of the flood will be presented by Noah and his family as they speak to the children assembled each day.
